Breaks question
I have noticed i have to push my breaks to the floor to stop my red 2001 ranger and the pads in the front are fine as well as the rotors..i attempted to bleed the breaks but i dont know its still the same. whats going on here?

i think its just air in the lines..because once it stops it dosent move but you had to hold it almost all the way to the floor to stop
Check the rear pads and wheel cylinders, also the drums themselves for wear. Then bleed the lines. I believe when you bleed the brakes you are suppose to go from the farthest line out to the closest line in (all that being from the master cylinder.
ok i misspelled something sue me(i am not as bad as some of the members on this board)..lol it was a long day and i wasn't thinking......anyways i got it fixed i bled all the lines and now its alot better could be a little better but i am not complaining
Did you check the rear brakes?? Sometimes with a low pedal your rears need adjusted out... because your pushing your pedal all the way down toget your shoes out far enough to touch the drum... happens alot on cars...
I just found out today that my cables in the drums broke on both sides... and ruined my shoes... and my LR wheel cylinder is leaking... great..
