Limited slip additive? Sealant or gasket?
Well I replaced my rear pinion seal and I was gonna replace my axle oil.
I got the correct fluid as stated in my manual, but my buddy said I might have to put limited slip additive in the axle.
Plus is their a gasket or sealant for the rear cover of the axle?

You only need a limited slip additive if you have a limited slip or locker. Also, most synthetic gear oils don't require a friction modifier.
I'd use an RTV silicone gasket maker for the gasket between the housing and cover. Just be sure to clean both surfaces or it will leak fluid. Permatex also makes a new sealant that is specifically designed for use on differentials.
