rear end help

Hi I'm new to owning a ranger I have a 02 4.0 ranger I recently blew the rear end I have a 8.8 with 4.10 gears I can't find one anywere the only 4.10 ratio I found was a 7.5 will this rear end work in my truck with the 4x4 an not mess my my transfer case up I need to know ASAP plz I am with out a truck and snows around the corner

Look for the axle code on the driver's side door/door jam and post it here.
Don't go with a 7.5 , just rebuild what you have.
If you have a limited slip you may just have to replace a few parts.

Every gear in side has a chip in it besides the ring gear I bent the pin an melted the spiders to it but I didn't know they had a tag on door I've been found by the one bolted to rest cover so that helps me I'm lookin for a cheap quick way out of this bind I'm in lol how much would u think it would cost to rebuild

could always get one out of an expo...then youll have rear discs and 31 spline axles...minimal fab work required

Oh and my code it s333s 4.10 ratio with .10 inch brakes

what does "blew the rear" exactly mean..?

and, have you pulled the cover and inspected it thoroughly?

well you have to cut off and reweld the spring perches...expos are mounted differently than the rangers and then do the brake lines

Don't seam that hard as far as fab work ill have to look into finding one and as far as the 7.5 would there be a diff from 8.8 with same ratio and wat is bad about the 7.5 lol when it comes to rear ends I don't know tomuch just enuf to get me by

7.5 is a lot weaker than the 8.8...ford made the 8.8 standard with the 4.0 for a reason

idk if your driveshaft will bolt up or not

I'm go na look into the expl rear end aslong as the fab work is in my skill level lol and if I don't think I can ill have to look in to the shaft bolting up but so far Ty for ur help
If run into anymore problems ill know were to turn
