I was driving down the road and my brother wanted to hear how my transmission was holding up. so while driving he pulls the shift boot off.

now, mind ive never screwed it back to the floor as i constantly check the fluids and like to be able to check it at an instant notice, and that ive taken my shift boot off while driving before without out a hiccup....until today

shifter came right off with the boot. so not only was i wondering how the hell am i going to shift but WHERE DID THE BOLT GO!!!

so ive been searchin for the part but cant find anything

try the ford dealership for the bolt. Or you can try a "salavge yard" for the whole assembly. I recommend Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market... thats what I use
