cant get clutch preasure
just replaced the slave cylinder in my 97 2wd 4.0, I get pressure only at the very bottom of my clutch, when I bleed it fluid is coming out... any ideas

You have an air bubble trapped in the master cylinder.
Have someone rapidly pump the clutch pedal 6-8 times , holding the pedal all the way down on the last stroke. Crack open the bleeder screw Close bleeder. Slowly let off the pedal. Wait a couple seconds. Repeat 2 more times. Top off master cyl. reservoir with fresh fluid. Repeat sequence 2 more times. Other option is to remove the master cylinder enough to angle the pushrod end down , this forces the air toward the outlet end , but is more difficult due to lack of room. |
alrighty, Ill give it a shot thanks for the advice

pulled the whole system out, reservoir, master and clutch line and bench bleed it like the youtube video said, worked like a charm by far the best method!

I have the same problem, how do you pull out the master cylinder? I can't figure out quite how to get to it
