You might want to put fluid in there. Much like oil, or Auto Transmissions, the clutch fluid level is something you ought to check regularly.

Brake fluid is what you use in the reservoir.

Probably out the slave.....I was putting in fluid for about 2-3 months before I found it. Slave blew, jacked up the rear to put the jackstands under for the clutch job, low and behold fluid DUMPED out the bellhousing. All the fluid had been leaking into the back of the housing, when I tilted it forward, there it was!
Where in NH are you? Let me know if you need any help with the slave, I'm always game for a little work.... b/c it's going....

congraduations...you have a late model ranger....welcome to replacing slaves and masters. get used to it. slave lifespan on these trucks are virtually unknown...they'll go anytime.

I vote it's going out your slave as thats usually first to go. check your driver floor board for brake fluid smell.....if that's the case you need to replace your master. fill it up with DOT3 or better...doesn't take much at all.
