ive been noticing in the past three days that if i start up the truck for the first time in any given day, the transmission doesent want to go into gear and the clutch pedal almost goes to the floor. i almost have to pump the clutch pedal in order to build pressure. however, for the rest of the day the clutch engages like normal if i keep driving it. is this a sign that my clutch slave cylinder is going out?

 

Yes. Mine was especially moody on cold mornings before slave #1 went out.

 

great... it looks like im gonna have to drop the tranny to replace it eh?

 

Yup. Not a terrible job, but rust was my enemy. Plan for a weekend and lots of cursing..

 

shouldnt be TOO bad... but i am blessed/cured with having 4wd so more parts needing to be removed =\
