Coasting Rattle

I have recently noticed that when I am coasting in gear w/o having the clutch pushed in I get a soft rattling sound kind of like when upshifting too soon. Pushing in the clutch makes the noise go away. It happens a lot when coasting downhill and does not seem to matter as to whether it is higher or low RPM. I changed the transmission fluid about a month ago (1500miles or so ago) and was told when bought the truck that the clutch was new last year. Is the rattle an expected behavior of these?

Sounds likea U-joint in your drive shaft is going bad. get under your truck and push your drive shaft strait up and down. it should have very little play normally.
