converting from auto hubs to manual hubs
 
Hey guys.I have a 93 ranger,front end is not engageing so I have been told to install manual locking hubs to correct the problem.My local parts store tells me I need a conversion kit to make this work.Has anybody done this or have any knowledge on how to do this.Would appreciate any help.It is gonna SNOW"""""

I had my '97 Ranger converted in 2004 and yes, you need a conversion kit. Well, I did anyway. The lockout hub kit was $228 and the conversion kit was $75. Keep in mind those were 2004 costs. I was told that to put the automatics back in would cost a lot of money and really wasn't worth it, unless you really don't want to get out an lock the hubs.

there is a guy on therangerstation.com who sells manual hubs and the conversion kit for $90 shipped. or you can try a junkyard ive found hubs and the conversion bolts for $40
