wait.. so with my current inner knuckles i can run the 8lug outers hub and disc?

same caliper bracket? and caliper?

btw i want to run those ReidRacing 4hole for high steer arms.

although from my understanding some chevys also had D44 with 8lug, just not sure what models.

this issue has been resolved.

friend of mine at work has a 78-79 D44 from a 3/4 ton its 8lug. He is only like 5 miles from my house. said 50 bucks would probably be alright for the front. might grab the rear too idk.

if that one is junk he has a D44 from a 3/4 ton chevy that is 8 lug too.

he has the matching rear axles as well. so whatever he has should work out. :)

yeah sounds like ill have the option of a 14 bolt, D60, or whatever the other guy has that started this thread in the first place. lol

if he only wants 50 each ill just buy both fronts from the ford and the chevy. that is if the chevy has passenger side flattop knuckle.

The Chevy or Ford 8 lugs should work just fine for you.

I'd go with the rear 60 over the 14 bolt though. They're both more axle than you could possibly need in your Ranger, but the 60's chunk doesn't drag nearly as much as the 14 bolt does.

But with the 14 bolt you could get lucky and get a stock detroit and 4.56 gears I think... Decisions decisions!

it is FF only rear D60 that isnt is a 35 spline SF cclip axle. Which is very rare. It will have 30 spline shafts since it is FF.

Edit: get something other then DC1's to many trucks have them and frankly they are ugly.....

FF it is then, after taking it apart this afternoon i decided it was probably a FF.

is the outside piece like a front hub? as in it comes apart from the drum brake? i want to ditch the drums and run BTF's D60 disc brake kit.

as for the wheels. idk we will see. they look much better when they are a larger size than 15 or 16.

sorry for the fact that they are really crappy quality pictures. but here they are stripped down from when i got them earlier today. the rear axle looks to be in really good shape. front axle could use some work.

i also got wheel and tires all for 85$ delivered btw. lol

D60 pumkins are rather large!

the hubs are huge.
