Could you...(4x4 rear end with springs)

I was wanting to swap out the rear end on my truck and was wondering if you could swap it with a Ranger without rewelding the spring perches. So I was trying to figure out a work around. Can you take an Explorer axle and add lift springs for a Ford Ranger in order to get the proper 4x4 height so you don't have to reweld the spring perches? Or would that cause an excessive axle angle?

to get it back you need about to get 5 inches of lift to so it as a spring under swap. you dont have any friends that can weld?
