Icon5 Diff breather location

i was tearing apart my new 9" today, and i noticed that the T for the brake lines was attached to the diff breathrr hole. I'm planning on redoing all the lines with steel braided lines so i can run the lines ontop of the axle and over the leaf springs..

So I was going to weld up the breather hole ( I dont like it being on the back of the tube) Does it matter where I drill a new hole? I was going to do it off to the side on the top middle-ish.
