Differential Rebuild Kit?

I'm not sure what kit I need. I have a set of 4.10's now and just need to know what rebuild kit I should be picking up for it. There seems to be a pretty big price jump between one with the bearings and one without. The truck has ~80K on it, so if that makes a difference... Thanks for the help in advance.

your putting the 4.10s in the truck? If that is the case then you will need to get new shims for the carrier and the pinion gear. If it was me I would go ahead and replace the bearings and the seals just so it doesnt fail after you swap the gears in because that is usually my luck.

If you're installing new gears, a master install kit would be best. Otherwise, why are you rebuilding your differential?

What I meant when I said I got a set of 4.10's was that I am upgrading from 3.55's.

If you're changing the gears its a great time to put in a good limited slip--no difference in labor. The mechanic just put new bearings in my 07 when he installed a truetrack LS because but only because he messed one up when pulling it off the old diff to transfer it to the truetrac.

I really do not know the answer to your question, but if you're reusing the same diff it doesn't seem like you would need to change the bearings... But certainly all the seals.
