disc brake swap.

Wondering if anyone here has done a disc convertion on a 8.8" 28spline axle?

Sophie's comming due on some brake work and for me I can't really leave anything stock for long..

I know a bunch of you in here would say just go get a 8.8" 31spline out of a JY, but I don't have the time or the place to do that kind of work.. I figure the the 28 is just fine for my applications, I have a LS in it and hey its already under the truck. I had wanted to convert my 96 over to a 31 I Hate F'n with drums....

I stumbled across this and it looks interesting..

It's basically a combo, disc for regular stopping and an internal drum for the E-brake... what do you all think? I'm leaning towards it's worth it..

"An easy way to identify the ends is to look for 3/8-inch bolts on the housing ends versus the ½-inch bolts used on the other rearends."

Time to walk my lazy azz out to the truck with some sockets...
