Do I need to regear for 33's?

I just want to know if I should rear gear for 33's. And if so what gears? I have a 3.0 manual. And where can I get gears?

If you have 3.73's (like me) you will want to. It's not horrible, but if you drive on the highway you have to mash the gas pretty bad.

I only got to for a second, I then got the "death wobble"

Or if you had 35's (like me) w. 3.55's, they suck even worse... lol

i believe manuals do hae 3.55, not sure if being an edge matters tho, it might.

Also, mismatched gearing is bad for the transmission.

Just look at the label in the door jamb. The 2-digit code under "axle" is your axle code. search around the forums for a axle code chart.

your personal preference. the performance you loose with the mods you do may not effect the truck enough for you, but he may have different gears, or may even have the same, but does not like the outcome of the new additions. The way your post came across to me at least, is that you had something against regearing, like most people have against bodylifts. They both get there intended purpose done, with both pros and cons.

He doesnt even know what gears hes runnign to even get that far in the decision making process.
