Drive Axle Nut

So I want to change the front diff in my truck with one that i have sitting and I wanted to know what to do with the axle nut. I know the are staked in place but do I just reuse and re stake them when I put everything back together? I can't find the nut separate from the drive axle and I don't need new drive axles. Thanks.

I'm just a little confused on what you're asking. Could you elaborate? Are you asking about the nut that holds the CV shaft onto the hub? If thats the nut your asking about then you'll just reuse them.

I need to take the nuts off to remove the drive axle. Can I reuse the nuts? The reason I ask is because so far I have only found them with a new set of drive axles and I don't need a new set.
