if it is a double cardan shaft it wont fit, like in the 4x4auto tcases

but the explorers that are 2high 4high and 4low will fit

it works if you swap the flange

This actually for my truck, no need to swap flanges. My front shaft is in the shop, and i need to test out my new toy to see how it does.

Yes and No...

Look on right side of screen....

98+ 4x4 Rangers use a CV/ball style rear joint(top in picture). Same shaft is also used in some 95+ Explorers.

Bottom shaft is the Double Cardon found in 97 and older rangers and some explorers.

shane the lower one should be TTB correct? it is talking Live axle to Live axle its the same distance

Fx4wannabe01 Mar 27, 2009 10:50 AM

TTB ranger, yes. I've seen 'em under A-Arm Expos at yards.

What are you asking about distance??? Can't read what ya wrote. lol. My pic I posted is my SHORTEND up 97 and older shaft to fit with the adaptor in the 'bucket' of the tcase.

Redneckstone Mar 27, 2009 11:00 AM

The expo that have the double Car joint on SLA just have a different mounting flange that can be changed
