ABS light comes on wile in 4X4
we got like 4" of snow and i was playing around and i went up a good size hill. i dont want to slide down cause there was a layer of ice under the snow and it was plowed off to a little bit of surface snow.
so i put it inot 4x4 hi and when i went to pull out my 4x4 was still slipping like crazy on the ice and when i looked at the dash when i got up the hill and driveing again the ABS light was on.
i shut off the truck and turned it back on and it was fine again?
what would make that happen and i did not have ABS while the light was on and i was stopping a lot better with it off lol.

Mine would come on simply by driving down wash boarded roads and applying the brakes. The system sees one or more wheels slowing or locking and activates the ABS. It will also illuminate the ABS light. Cycling the ignition will reset the system. The ABS Mod temporarily deactivates the ABS system so you have standard brakes...Might come in handy if you sliding off the side of a mountain dirt/gravel road and cant stop because the ABS is on and keeping you from locking the wheels...
