Truck got towed to transmission shop late last night after speaking to the shop owner it was okay to drive with overdrive off to the shop. Well something locked up last night and snapped the U joint. So it awaits surgery under the 3 year warranty that came with it. I have a rental so I'm happy. (not happy that it's a dodge product)

It wouldn't drive in "DRIVE" from and stop even with O/D off. So accelerating i would have to go into 1, 2 turn o/d off then shift into drive then it would be fine but something broke last night on the way to drop it off.

I got a 2011 Dodge Calibur. I hate it but it gets me around. Its a CVT so it just revs no shifting so like a snowmobile. The blindspots in the rear are HORRIBLE. and the seats suck. It has XM so im happy

its got a CVT. no ****.
one of my teachers at Lawrence Tech worked on designing the CVT. it has artificial shift points so people would be happier and feel less like something is wrong with it.

I think a manual CVT would be the coolest setup. Not the artificial shift point garbage, but to actually directly control the transmission. It would essentially be like a normal manual, except it would constantly be engaged and it would hit every single possible gear as you accelerated, right? I've thought about this before and it works good in my head Engine breaking would be fun... on the other hand though I think a lot of people would explode their engine.

What black turd? As i would like a new car i just don't want to have a payment for one. It was so close to going a week and a half ago but the way i see it is that why not just fix a truck instead of getting low balled on a trade it then pay $3xx a month for some gay little car. Driving this rental makes me afraid i nervous like people don't see me excreta, excreta

I don't get it, why do you have so many problems with a 2004? You must have got a Ranger built on a Friday afternoon.
