ECO 6 for a 4.0 or is it a dream
ECO 6 for a 4.0 or is it a dream
I have a 06 level II and an ECO sounds like it would be fun, have no idea if it would fit under the hood. Just a thought so I ask. Thanks for your thoughts. Vernon
the motor and supporting parts would just cost way too much. and nowadays with all the electronics and fancy do dads cross platform motor swaps are pretty much a thing of the past. can it be done...? sure. how much will it cost? im going to guess and say $20,000 for all the parts, custom parts, supporting parts and other bs.
would it be cool? hell yes. worth it? hell no. youd be better off building the stock 4.0l and doing a turbo setup. if that wont make the power you want then swap in a honda v6 and turbo that. lots of guys making 500-700whp with 100% stock 3.2L motors with a turbo bolted on.
all you would need is a custom machined belhousing adapter plate(probably 1000 bux) build some motor mounts and do all the wiring.
probably have a stock N/A honda v6 running in your car for less than 5 grand. another 3000 for baller turbo parts and tuning.
the biggest issue you have to realize is the ecoboost is brand new. its also in 50+ thousand dollar trucks.
