Electrical or mechanical?

Just wondering if anyone has a clue to my problems

O/D light flashing on off.

Transmission will not shift into 2nd when o/d off. It just revs up, I don't know if it will eventually catch, because I didn't mess with it.

Transmission shifts fine when COLD, when at op. temp, it goes into limp mode.

It is the 1-2 shift. That is when the light comes on and starts flashing.

3rd and up is fine.

Overall transmission seems to shift fine which leads me to believe it is electrical.

I did sink the truck before, so maybe PCM (expensive) or VSS?

My abs light is burned out so I can't tell if it is on/blinking either.

I do have a CEL, but it has been on since the gas gauge (P0460). I do not have access to a code reader until Monday.

Transmission was rebuilt less than 6k miles ago.

I was on an incline when this happened, maybe 1500 rpms. Right when I was getting pulled out I was just tapping the gas and the o/d light started flashing, I thought it was a fluke thing so I let the truck cool down. It hasn't stopped since.

It feels fine, shifts fine, except when in limp mode, which leads me to believe it is not mechanical.

Fluid level? Could anti-freeze have gotten in the lines?

Fuses? Should I go through all of them and check?

Can it have anything to do w/ the rear end? VSS or the 40 pin connector?

Do you think it's related to the gas gauge? Almost like a TPS or fuel pump thing, but it is flashing a code

I know I need to get the code read, but I can't until monday. Just want some opinions.

This is a totally pointless conversation until you get the code.
