Manual Hubs

I got my new Rugged Ridge manual locking 4x4 hubs today! I am just so excited I had to tell someone so you all get to hear about it. The reason I went with manual hubs is because a few weeks back I lost my front driver side wheel on the highway (long story). When I lost the wheel it took my hub with it. I went to the stealership and they want $160 for one hub and I got my new ones for $150 for the pair so I went with manuals. I think I made the right choice because now I have 2wd low range along with more reliable hubs, I have had a lot of problems with the autos. So what do you guys think?

Hey man I've been lookin around and I can't find any newer than 2000. I don't think you can mod your axle to fit different hubs, personally if I couldn't find em I would just leave it how it is.

Let me know when you want to try them out. We could put them to use at that hill climb.

It shouldn't be too bad, plus I've got a few tow straps if you get high-centered. I should also mention that it's not nearly as bad without the snow and ice, you should definitely check it out. I'm home just about every day after 6 if you ever want to give it a shot.

Cool, just let me know when you'd like to go. Scott would probably join in as well.

Sounds like a plan. I took the rims off and polished them up this weekend, it's time to get em dirty again.

Uh, there's a reason why they make jumper cables and/or battery chargers - to get your truck over to Collier's Mills.

I'm really not sure if you can fix them. I wanna say you gotta buy a whole new hub and I don't think they sell them single. I may be wrong though.
