2001 wheel bearing and hub assembly

I've had a clicking noise going on for about a week or so so I finally took my truck to the shop and it turned out to be a wheel bearing and the whole hub assembly needed to be replaced. Well, i was qoutated about 250 to replace just one.

I was wondering if this was a reasonable price. Or if its something i should attempt to do myself
Let me know what your think

I replaced my hub assembly on both sides last year on my '99 It takes some time but its really not that difficult. I was attempting to fix the dreaded vacuum hub system that plagues the 1998-00's Rangers. But nontheless I found a set of antilock brake hub assemblies on ebay for 160 for a pair. and got them replaced in an afternoon. I didnt need any special tools less than standard sockets. I wouldn't pay 500....

It is a fairly easy job to do... but if you aren't able to do it then that's a decent price if it's a good quality bearing that they're putting on.
