umm if you did a SFA(solid front axle) then the rear axle would still be stock. Or an explorer axle swapped still gives you ABS.

but none the less, i'd miss the front ABS.

why would you miss it? ABS is lame. i havnt had it for like 2 years, i like it alot better without. Sometimes with ABS you cant stop for ****.

Also why would you loose it? you could still make ABS work on a SFA

removing the front wheel sensors will kill the entire 4WABS system.

I looked into this WAY WAY back when, and pretty much the answer I came up with is it is near impossible to get the ABS to work with a different sensor from a different vehicle. Not to mention that limits you on axles.

If you were really determined, you should be able to graft on the RABS system from a 90's Ranger. It's a completely different system but it uses the same rear axle sensor that you already have.

1989 - RABS was introduced and became standard on all Rangers
1995 - RABS standard / 4WABS optional on some models; 4WABS standard on the rest.
2001 - RABS discontinued. 4WABS/EBFD standard on all Rangers
