FX4 Level II shift stick swap

Hey there guys
I remember reading somewhere about swapping the shift stick and boot from a FX4 Level II into the XLT. Will one from the 03 and up FX4 fit im my 98 ranger? i like the look of these way better and it would be sweet to get this in my truck

only one thing that could be a problem... check the mounting bolt and make sure its side to side and not front to back... if it is side to side she will bolt right in...
