which gears should i get for my 02 2wd 3.0 ranger if i want 33's, or should i just keep my 3.73's...auto transmission

 

i just asked that same question today. i have a 02 ranger edge 2WD 3.0 auto and i have 33's on right now. i have the stock 3.73's and it feels kinda slow when i accelerate. from what i understand from searching is that 4.10's are ok with the 33's but sooner or later your gonna want to go to 35's or maybe bigger. im gonna go with the 4.56's myself cause i want to get 35's soon.

 

3.73/33's and hills or steep grades will suck a bit.

 

ok i have decided that i am going to choose 4.56 after i get fed up with the poor performance of the 3.73's but can someone please tell me exaclty what parts i need...should i just buy a ring and pinion set from ebay and then bring it to a shop for installation?
