going to be replacing tranny
 
any tips to make this go any easier? i have a 02 3.0 5speed just wondering if theres any tips to make the job quick and easy!

Not sure about the 3.0, but have a torch to heat the exhaust bolts. They are a HUGE PITA on a 4.0....though not sure how bad rust will be for you though.

Like stated above my problem was the rusted exhaust bolts. Somebody that was helping me gave me a bad socket on the impact and it striped one of the heads. everything else is pretty simple

haha well mines got a body lift so thats a plus i guess and also not much rust on the bolts so thats 2 plus's so far!

I just helped a friend pull his out... or attempt to. Ran into problems with a few of the top side bolts. Lots of stiff extensions, breaker bar, and impact wrench helped. Good luck, hopefully you won't run into too many issues.
