Grinding noise.

Just had my 4.0 rebuilt. Has been running great for about two months. Now there is a metal grinding noise coming from underneath. My friend said his wifes jeep had the same problem and her mechanic told her it was the clutch bearing. My clutch was replaced , but not the bearing. I am now beginning o feel as if I made a huge mistake by not replacing the bearing while the engine was apart. What do y'all think the problem could be? Thanks in advance. Mark:irked:

I had the clutch and bearing replaced in my 99 Ranger last year and now I am hearing the same metal grinding noise. A mechanic said it could be the transfer case or the front bearings.
