Ok guys, I dont know diddalee squat about the ranger transmissions, however I have a 3.0 4x4 not sure what Tranny, however a few weeks ago, the tranny sounded like it was whinning when I would drive it. The fluid smelt a little but burnt but not like real real bad. It felt like It would take all it had to get up the smallest of a hill. My rpm said it was running 2500 just going 25mph down the road...I think the rpm gauge might be screwed up. Now, for the past week, it has been fine...any ideas? Could the computer be screwed up for shift points basing on the rpm guage? Any help would dbe greatly appreciated.
