Help!!!!!! 5 speed tranny building pressure??

:frown:I have a '06 ford ranger xlt 4x4 manual trans. my tranny keeps building pressure and blowing the oil control seal in my hurst shifter. has anyone else experienced this? i vented the tranny b/c there doesnt seem to be one in it that i can find. ive looked all over just short of pulling the trans for closer examination. but it pressurises the line in a lil over 75 miles it had pumped 8 ounces or better into a catch bottle under the hood. the vent is at least 4 inches above the fill plug on top of the trans. any ideas anyone???????? btw the vent tube is 7/64th vacuum line and it is a lil over 6 foot long and is mounted beside the battery.

search for the hurst shift fix im sure shane will post of his fix. the problem is with the hurst shifter there is no vent in the top so when the trans heats ups up there is no place the pressure to go so it blows the seal.

that makes better sense. but i have the new gasket that hurst sent me. but it still doesnt explain the tranny building pressure like it it. its lost about 12 ounces of fluid now. even if it pressurized a lil bit it still wouldnt push it over 6 ft. into a catch can. i think i have an internal problem. maybe bearing goin out causing too much heat.??
