help with axle identification

so i went to buy a eb 9 inch ford rear axle to match up with my front.. and i got there and it was kinda crappy.. really thick rusty, axle tag was missing,, it had been torched off the truck..

so next to it was another axle from an 87-96 bronco axle.. in super good condtion,, still have e brake cables,, no rust, axle tags, so i bought it..

now i know its not a 9 inch, im pretty sure its an 8.8?? can you guys confirm this? its full width so it will match my d44 up front. 5x5.5 bolt pattern..
got it for $124..
thanks
