Help: High Clutch Adjustment?

We recently saved a 1993 3.0 5 speed 2wd from the crusher and it runs and all but the clutch doesn't grab until the clutch pedal is really high, almost all the way out. Does it need to be adjusted or do i have to replace it soon? Thanks Everyone.

Also, how common were posi rears in these trucks? We found out ours had a posi and i was surprised. Just wondering.

you can try and bleed the slave cylinder but you probably need a whole new clutch

no, the hydraulic system is self adjusting, there is no form of indication of wear on the clutch in the position of the clutch pedal. Unless there is a problem with the hydraulics (which would cause the clutch to grab with the pedal extremely low) then the pedal should feel the same through the life of the clutch. These clutch systems normally grab around 3/4 to just about at the top of the pedal movement (or unusually high for some people) they are also a harder clutch pedal than most people are used to.
