HELP having major problem with my auto trans
 

i have a 04 ranger with a 4.0 in it and i am having alot of trubble with my trans i was on my way to work and it just went out on me at a red light ..and when i was pulling off it was like i was running out of gas but wasnt and if i babyed it i could get it down the road but very slow so we ran a code reader on it and it came up with 10 codes most refering to the trans about the trans valves its almost like its stuck in 3rd gear almost like there something in the motor "retarding' the motor if you have any smart ideas please share
