Manual Transfercase?

i would like something more reliable such as a manual t-case over the electronic push-button t-case. i am wondering if a manual t-case off an older ranger such as one from a 2.9l would hook up to my truck? i know that there are some gen 3 rangers with manual ones so idk. any help or suggestions would be great!

yes they will but they are a 1350 and a bit weaker, i would just go with a 1354 they are stronger... they are also harder too find they are out of a explorer, 91-95 or something i cant remember exactly... i would do a search for a 1354 manual t-case, thats what i did... oh and make sure you have the correct tail shaft, on your tranny...

if you need one i have a tail shaft for sale...

^^^ agree with you but also you can find them in a 90 plus 4.0 rangers they are all 1354s you should have the correct tail housing.

Do you know how to make sure you have the right one?

there should be a little badge hanging off the t-case just like your rear diff has... and it will say 1354 or 1350... good hunting...

It'll be a 1354M if it has a flange for the front output. 1350's have a spline/slip yoke. There's also ID tags on it in a couple different places.

manual cases are the easiest to find in 91-94 explorers and 93-97 rangers. They all had 1354's and the front output will match up with your stock Driveshaft.
