3:88 gear question

I have a V6 3.0 (yes i know this engine sucks lol) with a 3:88 gear ratio and 35" tires. I am wondering if i put 33" tires on it will i get more gas milage and would i have to change gears if i put the 33's on?

Well going to 33's your going to increase your RPMS while driving. Does your truck seem to lack power? If not then I don't think its going to help anything other than around town. With 4.88's and 35's you should be in the sweet spot of the 3.0L so I'd say no you probably wouldn't gain any mileage.

4.88s w/33” tire may a little on the Deep side.

For off Roading rig then ok but DD no way IMHO…
