Hole in transmission cooler
Well I had a wreck coming home from work the other day. Some lady slammed on her brakes and this truck in front of me slammed on his and i hit him in the rear. So I pull over got red transmission fluid pouring all over the road. From the front of my truck. Im like oh great LOL. So anyways I am in need of getting a transmission cooler for my truck. I saw this one and was wondering if it is up to or better than the stock one? If so I will get it. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thank you

those are tube and fin, they are pretty inefficient and i wouldnt trust one on my own transmission, what youll need is a stacked plate cooler. if you get a stacked plate one, then you can replace the stock one with it and not worry about it

I just got a $20 one from an autoparts store and used the same tubes plugged it right in and mounted it!
I'm with Bob: stacked plate is more efficient and much stronger in construction. A little bit more bread but one of those might have survived your accident. I was just looking at them in the latest 4 Wheel Offroad magazine somewhere.

they sell them at most autoparts store, of if you like im sure i could get one for you
what could ya get me one for? im interested i need it immediately at least by next week sometime
Did you bypass the old one for now?
with the holidays i probably cant get you one that fast, best bet would be to check locally, autozone, pepboys, any big name company should have the coolers in stock
no the truck is just sitting in the driveway im not driving it...so basically i need a stacked plate one with what specs?
just wondering if anyone could get me some specs on what ill need to get for the tranny cooler since im gonna have to order it online and noone around here has the stacked plate ones.
