so im a little confused ive read all abouut the valve body issues but the symptoms dont really fit my issue. so here goes my transmision has 106000 on it and its started doing this thing it sorta vibrates when downshifting from overdrive but it only does under load as in pulling a trailer or going uphill and sudden acceleration like passing on the interstate since it doesnt do it upshifting or all the time when downshifting i dont think its a gear issue i do know it needs a transmission service which i m going to do soon but i wanted to make sure theres noting else i need to check/ replace while im in there. thanks for any suggestions.

 

Sounds like the the converter

The computer locks it in cruise unlocks it when power is demanded, then it will raise rpms until it stalls.


I would do a fluid change, get as much out as possible. BTW, dropping the pan gets you about a third of the fluid out.
