"Clanking" from wheels or exhaust?

I was rippin around today, and when I step on the gas at lower speeds, theres a type of clanking sound coming from the passenger rear and I can't figure out what it is. it sort of sounds like a rock inside the pipe, but it doesn't clank when I rev in neutral or when I'm driving 50mph or so and step on the gas. I took my wheel off yesturday but put it back on tight. I'm not sure if that would have anything to do with it.. any ideas what this could be?

I took the wheel off, put it back on good and drove it home, and then the next day it started real bad. Today for a bit is was even doing it during the idle at a stop sign, but by the time I got home to see if I could find what it was, it was gone

if it was doing it at idle, it has to be an exhaust rattle .... check the cats, they have shields on them that can either get rocks in them and rattle, or the shield can brake loose and cause a rattle ... good luck! let me know if i can help out anymore...

someone also told me to check the U-Joints, cause there's a loud bang when I shift into gear and I know it's not my tranny cause it's coming from too far back
I'm gonna check everything out in shop tomorrow

Ok, so it is my U-Joint, when I move the driveshaft with my hand, it clanks. How much would a new U-Joint be roughly, not-installed?

Mine did the same thing, but it wasn't the u-joint, it was the spider gears in the rear diff. I pray for you that it is the U-joints cuz otherwise its a pain to do, and a shop is gonna give you a good rape job for the spiders, If they don't try to sell you a whole rebuild to begin with.
