pictures of your tranny cooler

if ya snapped a pic during install, or just have some saved post them up. im buying a tranny and oil cooler after the new years

Take a look at an FX4 at the dealer. They come stock with an external tranny cooler.

It all came from Auto Zone. I direct wired it for now (fused with relay to ignition on source). Will install a temp sensor someday.

awsome! that helped me out alot!
did you run some bailing wire type stuff through the radiator fins to secure it? or make a bolt on bracket?

i feel a mod day comming soon!!

i thought all the newer trucks come with an external cooler??

not sure, never really looked that close, im wanting a bigger clooer with a fan since ill be pushing 33s and running 4.56gears and when i go off roading or towing i wont have to worry too much about it getting hot

If push comes to shove, you can put a fan on the stock cooler (assuming you have one).

the fan is bolted to the cooler. The cooler is bolted to the truck. If you look at the pink in the second pic- thats the spacer I made/used. You can buy combo kits that have the fan and cooler in one kit. It would have been easier to go that rout. This was a weekend project using what Autozone had in stock. I had to make a solution to mount the fan to the cooler.

i believe i have an external cooler( theres 2 lines goin into a cooler infront of the radiator)

would running both coolers have any ill effects? or just run a bigger cooler/fan combo
