diff. fluid

how much fluid is in the rear differntial? and about how much added capacity is there if the diff cover is aftermarket (MAC)

8.8 axle..

probably not much a quart at most.

3 quarts should fill it.

Don't get the MAC cover. It leaks all the time. I would get ruffstuff.

already have the MAC. hasnt leaked yet.
do ya fill it until it starts dripping out the fill hole?
if ya put too much in, would it "hurt" anything, or just foam up

if you put too much it could blow the axle seals.

you fill it from the front fill hole until it starts to run out. then put the plug in

Yeah. Just fill until it comes out of the stock fill hole.

*****! looks like i gotta get up early now and fix it..damn.. filling the stock hole would have been easier tooo

DON"T use the mac fill hole. Use the factory hole on the back side. the mac hole will allow too much to go in.

When I filled mine I filled it using the MAC fill hole until it ran out the stock fill hole.

that'll work good. Its a lot easier to go in the mac hole.

Don't you need some kind of sealer for the gasket? And also how much fluid would go in the smaller axle since I'm pretty sure that's what I have, but I'll go look?
