snap while down shifting

Hey everyone, i tried searching but had trouble find something similar.

My truck is a 93 ranger 4x4 4.0 L with the 5 speed manual transmission with 353,000 km

When downshifting I hear a little snapping noise. For example if im driving in 4th and let off the gas, with the engine under load it makes a snapping type noise. The noise is most noticable when i down shift from 3rd to 2nd. Ill get into second, lift my foot off the clutch peddle and *SNAP* a very noticeable noise and it almost seems to jerk the truck. Is this the beginning of the end of my transmission? Other than that the truck shifts fine and goes into gears no problem and the engine has no loss of power.

checked that, greased it up, still prominent snapping noise/feeling. checked the universal, theyre all fine and greased. the noise repeats itself though, just doesnt do it once, it'll do it 2 or 3 times in a row becoming less noisy each time. and it almost i like i can feel it in the tranny when its happening...
