transimission woes.
when i purchased my truck the transmission was a little sketchy.. one problem is i can hear what sounds like a bearing at low rpms under a decent load, as if you were starting off in second gear.... because of this i changed the trans fluid and it did not go away , but on the drain plug i had quite a bit of metal stuck to the magnet .
which leads me to my next problem .. today we had some killer rain and the streets flooded . i made it through with no problems at all .. or so i though . the transmission is hard to get into gears sometimes now . mainly 1-3 . 4 and 5 work great .
any ideas ?

have you checked your clutch fluid... you might be low or have a issue there... when my slave cyl. went out it had similar symptoms auch as not going into gear... pull the rubber grommet on your bellhousing and shine a flashlight up in there to see if there is any fluid on the slave or the clutch disk itself... if there is then thats the problem

i only have 45,000 miles . is this a common thing on our trucks ? or am i looking at the fault of the previous owner ?
