I have a 98 ranger, and a month or so ago I lost 4wd on it. I was in a pinch, needed it pretty immediately, so I "hacked" the PVH hub system to make it a live-axle system as laid out in this older post: https://www.ranger-forums.com/engine...-hub-fix-9211/

My question is - will the constantly spinning front axle cause problems? Are there potential maintenance issues that I should know about and stay on top of?
