manual hubs
ive heard some people found a place that sells manual hubs that work on 98-00 rangers, just wondering if anyone could tell me where that would be, thanks

Made by AVM
I know these guys have them. I'm sure others carry them also. Shop around. http://www.tellico4x4.com/advanced_s...52b4394033e153 |
thanks alot do you know or does anyone know how hard they are to install
i hate my manual hubs, try locking them in 2ft of snow
Thats why you lock them before you need them. its ok to drive on them locked
without 4wd engaged.. you just lose gas mileage. |
Manual Hubs=Sweetness
where did you get yours from and are the reliable though]
manual hubs are more reliable than the on the fly,i think
I havent gotten them yet, but I know peeps withem and they rawk. Super easy plug-n-play instalation, about 5 mins per side and the only mod you have to do is if you have stock wheels on you have to drill a big ass hole in the center of your center cap so you can cover up your fugly lug nuts. As far a reliability goes, they are as reliable as a live axle, however since they *can* break i would rank them a step back....but the benefits out way the odds of them breaking so I would get em.....im just waiting for a chance to buy and put em in....they are only $117 shipped soo....
get on it man, what the hell you waiting for...lol
Im lazy.....and im buyin some durrrrty5's on friday and dont want to totally destroy my truck fund.....
i went offroading sunday upnorth, still need to wash it,dont feel like it though,i am also lazy, nothing wrong with it though. hahahaha
well i heard that some of the 2000 rangers are different and dont have the vacum locking hubs and so i was wondering where i look to figure that out cause i havent...
2000.5 and up rangers are live axle assemblies......if your truck is a post 97 and a pre-june of 2000 built truck then you are good to go. An easy way to check is to crawl under your front end, locate the cast iron steering knuckle. If you have PVH then there will be a rubber hose coming out of a 90* bent pipette just about where the cv shaft goes through the knuckle. If you have a live axle setup, then this rubber tube and 90* pipette will not be there.....dont confuse the rubber tubing for the ABS sensor wires though!
k thanks ill check it out then
does warn make them for your truck??
2000.5+ year would have a build date starting in Jan 2000
Kanoeking,
Sure seems easier to just pull the hubcap off. If you see a big nut, it's live axle, not PVH. Ask me how I know (after I ordered the dang AVM's)..... |
