So I've got a big ol cover. Now how do I go about clipping the wings? Short of a mill, I haven't got a clue.

Hack saw is what I used primarily. Also used a cut off wheel with air compressor some. To smooth it out the best thing at my disposal was a belt sander and it worked pretty well.

i wanna weigh in on this old post, cause i have been kickin myself in the a$$ for about three years on this deal.
late 02/early 03, before i bought my EDGE in 6/03, i replaced THREE of these IRS ex diffs under warranty due to gear/bearing noise. the take off parts were not called back and i ditched THREE of these covers. i garrantee thats where all the ones on the 'bay came from back in the day....

yeah, tom was telling me they were just junkn entire IRS for new ones left nad right

I cut them back some so I could highlight the vertical bars.

Ha ha! You guys work too hard, lol. Mine will just get screwed up so I left the ears on, put bolts in the holes to fill 'em, and bolted it in place, lol.

Looks VERY nice though, Bob. Everything you do it done with a fine "fit and finish", I must say!

Interesting how 6 month old posts get revived...
