need help with 4.0 sohc supercharger
 

ok long story short 99 ranger with 4.0 sohc from 99 explorer I rebuilt last summer all bearings rings ect... thinking of putting a m90 on it with the rp caster kit what do you guys think of supercharging the 4.0 sohc? and ill need someone to write a good tune for it im looking for someone with a lot of experience. pointers would be great thanks!

Depending on how much cost you realistically see the charger being, you might find a 5.0 swap to be better. There's obviously a bit more to it but you'll find yourself with a reliable engine that produces the same power non-aspirated.

Original plan was a 5.0 but i got a killer deal on a running 99 explorer 4.0 sohc, same pats as my truck with the old 3.0 super easy swap, and the 4.0 makes 210hp stock 5.0 is like 225 stock, so i rebuilt the 4.0 100% its literally only got 6-7000 miles on it now. 5.0 is out of the question

Anybody have any experience with supercharging a 4.0? Is it worth it? Ive searched many forums lots if guys are saying its pretty reliable on 5 1/5 lbs
