Put '01 half shafts and hubs in a '98?

1998 4.0L 4x4

Can anyone confirm that it is possible to install the '01 half shafts and hubs/bearings in a '98? I believe I read this a while back. Would it require any other '01 parts or can I just attach the '01 half shafts/hubs/bearings right to the '98 front differential and everything will work peachy? Thanks!

Matt

YES.

You may need to trim the little tube on the steering knuckle, but yes, if you acquire '00.5+ CV shafts, hub/bearings, you can convert to live axle.

You can upgrade brakes to a larger size if you get steering knuckles from a 2003+.
