Do I need a new tranny?

I have 95,000 on my tranny right now. It seems to shift fine when the slave cylinder isn't acting up but I have been slamming it into gear when the slave was acting up. I figure I'm going to have the clutch done real soon and why not change the tranny as well. I found a rebuilt one from Kormex Transmission for $550. Do you think I need it?

I thought Kormex only did auto trannys. Maybe I'm wrong though.

BTW everyone could use a new tranny. Its the hip thing to do.

yes, if you keep slaming it in gear you will need to replace the syncronizers but the rest may be ok.

Well the only time I would have to slam it is when the slave would act up and I needed to get into 1st. If I pump the clutch like 9999999 times before I start driving then the slave is fine and I can shift easy with no grinding or any noise.

When my slave went, I had to turn it off to get it into first. Seemed a beter alternative to slamming it into gear. I have replaced the slave, but can't quite get it bled all the way. I just have to give the engine a little rev so it will slide into first. I need to bleed it some more, but can't seem to find the motivation.
