Well i am regearing my truck and got the new ones from work. Well i got the reverse for the front and they dont fit? Are they standard?!?!?

 

What size gears and what axle?

 

they are 4:56 and i think its a dana 35 up front with the IFS

 

Doesn't the D35 IFS take std cut gears, not reverse cut ?

 

I hope so because that is what I ordered.

 

Maybe they are standard? That's what I'm trying to figure out. The computer at work said reverse was all that's available

 

They are reverse cut i am sure, heck i didnt install my fronts a shop did

 

In 1998 the Ford Ranger went to a Dana 35 IFS front axle. The Dana 35 IFS switched from a reverse rotation gear to standard rotation gear. The gears in a 1997 and older Ranger/Explorer will not work in the 1998 and newer Rangers.

Send back the reverse cut gear, they are for a D35 TTB, get some for a D35 IFS…
