98 ranger 3.0 tranny issues
Just finished a 98 ranger 3.0 , 4x4, automatic, that was bought w/ front end damage, had a rebuilt motor & much work done already , Tranny fluid was fairly clean, no burnt smell. Well finally got it on the road,
When you cold start it, and shift to reverse it takes 20-30 seconds untill it will engage, gets better when hot, the forward gears are a little sluggish not terrible. The truck has 212K on it so i know I'm probably due for a rebuild, but just wondering if a seafoam treatment & filter change is worth it? Anyone use it before? Any other ideas?
Thanks
